I just started to decorate for Fall and then in October some Halloween.

I start in October. I live in the Southeast and it's still so hot here. And usually remains hot thru October. I love the Fall, we just don't get the weather and it makes it difficult for me to be hanging wreaths, etc when I can also be ju,ping in the pool.

I have begun and after this weekend I will begin in full throttle.

I normally wait until the last week of September/first week of October.

I keep summer up through the actual last day of summer, this year 9/23. My outdoor deck annuals are still thriving outside my main sliders off my living room, and look good through early October. I just filter in a few pumpkins out there last wk of Sept or 1st wk of October. It's still summer to me before then. (I'm in CT)...and I love summer best.
In early October when the colors outdoors, which filter indoors through my windows, start really changing to fall, that's when I put out a few simple fall accessories indoors. That is when it actually starts to feel like fall to me, so I just don't do it before it feels that way. A fall table setting, a fall pillow on an end chair, maybe a few other seasonal touches. Occasionally, end of month I've put out Halloween items, but we don't get trick or treaters at my condo complex, so it's only ever just been for fun. Sometimes now I just don't bother with that.
I do have a few ceramic Jack-o-lanterns I put out with candles in them. But I used to do it up more with spider webs and a few other spooky things I mostly don't bother with now.
I don't buy new items (except real pumpkins) because it's a short season, and I just am so over trying to store everything.

I think the fall season is the only season I rush in a little early. I'll start this weekend most likely. It's my favorite season and it features my favorite seasonal decorations.

After Labor Day, I change out my Dining Room table decor and dishes to my Fall decor......It is still really warm here, but I still do it otherwise the season seems so short!
I add a few other Fall things around the house mid September!
I do have a really nice pumpkin Wreath that I purchased from Pottery Barn years ago, but I do wait to put that on my door until end of September!!!

I love the colors and temperatures in the fall season. 🍁
I don't have a lot of seasonal decorations, but I usually change out things after Labor Day weekend.
I will put an autumn leaves tablecloth and centerpiece on the dining table and a autumn candle on a table in my living room. I switch to autumn colored pillows and throws in my sunroom later in September. In early October I will get out my Halloween candy dish and jack-o-lantern that lights up the front window.
Happy Fall, Everyone!
ETA: Totally forgot about my fall wreath for the front door. I will put it up late September.
