There are two IKEA's in Illinois -- one north and the other south.  Yes, the stores are always very clean.  I live 2 blocks from IKEA but have not been in the IKEA for a while.

My BIL is from Sweden. He loves the meatballs at IKEA and says they are very authentic. My sister and I drop him off in the cafe to eat while we shop. I don't find a lot I actually need to buy, but always find something. Assembling some of the larger things is very intimidating to me so that keeps me from spending too much on things that will stay in the box.

IKEA is a fun place to visit and you will probably come out of the stores with a few goodies.  I own one of their sofas that was a steal of a price.  They also have great coffee, jams, etc.  Stop and visit their Cafe for a bit to eat.  I live about a 1-1.2 from IKEA.
