Re: I think this could be really nice with a pop of color!

I personally love that room -- colors and all.

I would definitely add some greenery (as someone else said), but that's it.

When different holidays and seasons roll around, I would add color for those times too.  However, I would LOVE that as my "every day" look.

I don't like any of the furniture, but the room is magnificent! I love all the windows, the beams, the fireplace mantle.

I could move right in there with just an aerobed, and furnish/decorate it bit by bit.

It's a beautiful start to a room but, yes, it does need more color!

Re: I think this could be really nice with a pop of color!

I think the furniture pieces and placement are too crowded and too many elements for the room.  It needs a big piece, and more open space.

Maybe a sectional and the two chairs by the window?  Something is off about it and everything crammed facing the fireplace makes it busy and forboding.

I really like this room.  Yes, it could use some color, maybe a different color rug, some window coverings and colorful pillows.  But otherwise, very nice.  Love the ceiling beams.

I like the space and it appears to have a very nice view, but the decor is pretty much nonexistent. Despite all the furniture lined up like a waiting room, the area seems sort of empty and devoid of character: no art, no color, no warmth. There's a lot of furniture and yet most of it is not complementary to the bones of the room, as there's no contrast. I'd keep the two leather chairs, not place them side by side but otherwise start over on the furnishings. The fireplace is so lovely and yet it's virtually ruined by the unappealing mantel decor and the television placed above it. And yes, a little color would help. Even some sort of minimal window coverings, more colorful sofa pillows and a more appealing rug would help to warm up the space, which really could be quite nice were it not for all that taupe. The two outlying chairs placed next to the window facing into the room add nothing to the space.

Very nice room with lovely views! I could live with this room if I added a few colorful accessories or pillows and a few green plants. I'd also need some kind of window coverings. If I wanted to make bigger changes I'd choose a darker neutral color for the non leather sofas.
