I saw it presented this morning but I was thinking that the darker colored lights did not show their color very much. Maybe it is because they are LED? I think I would prefer a plug in version if it was brighter.

I'm sure the white tree will be bright enough...the green tree no doubt won't be as bright as a plug in. Also I LOVE this B/O version since I can put it anywhere and I'm not as limited for placement...like being able to put it on our coffee table.

I also think it will look great with LR's white trees (H205068) around it

Please report back when you receive it Susan Louise as I really liked it but was just not sure.

I sure will!

Re: I just HAD to order this tree!!!

It looks like the white tree is available again...probably only a few from canceled orders for those interested

We were married on valentines day of 1983.(regift!) Someone gave us one of these ceramic trees as a wedding present. I still have it, it still works. Mine is green.

What a strange 'regift'! {#emotions_dlg.blink}

DH and I were married on V-Day in 2000! {#emotions_dlg.wub}

No doubt a strange gift to give someone in Feb. Oh well. It was from someone at DH's workplace. For a while my Mom had stopped putting up a tree so I gave it to her to use but when my parents passed it came home to me again. I guess I am just supposed to have it in my life.

Were there a lot of weddings when you got married? There were 4 at the church the day we got married - it was great because we shared the cost of flowers to decorate the church which was a nice savings. Ours was first in the morning - then two during the day and one that evening.Before we were even out of the church from ours the people for the next wedding were there already to do some decorating. i had met the other brides and their families when we had to go to a meeting to chose the flowers and decorations for the church. We had white roses to decorate the church so I got white roses for my bouquet too.

That's funny and cool at the same time!

When we got married, it was in my parent's church in FL (they moved there when they retired...now both deceased). At the time, my dad was recovering from cancer and having to have treatments, so it was the place to get married. Besides, DH and I had a long distance relationship...he was in NE and I was in CT. We only had 10 people at our wedding..and that included the best man & maid of honor...simple, tiny wedding. I used the colors of burgandy and gold, our reception was at an island restaurant off the coast of FL near Charlotte/Sarasota county, and the cake I chose could have fed 400 people, but I didn't care. I wanted one with a fountain under the cake...LOL

OMG your wedding was right where I live now - how funny is that. We got married in Pittsburgh and there was a blizzard the day before the wedding. We had a small wedding too as I had been married before and done the wedding with the long dress and all then. This time we had 20 people. Small, quiet and much more meaningful IMO.

This type of tree is all over ebay. I bought a 22" electrical green tree with multi lights on a music box from decades ago with interchangeable light covers, really stunning.

I just ordered the white one after reading this, Susan. I am one of the official Glitter Bridgade Group (lol)! So happy, always wanted one of these. Have ordered a tablecloth for my table that has a white background with many colors, think this tree will be just beautiful on it Smiley Happy

Re: I just HAD to order this tree!!!

My 94 year old grandmother has one of the original white ones with birds instead of the bulbs. It is so pretty. I have an original (when I say originals I mean from the 70s I guess?) green tree I found at a garage sale in the 90s. It was maybe $3 - $5 and I love it! Both have more colors of bulbs (pink, turquoise, orange, red, yellow, and purple, maybe--trying to remember) than the one on Q.

I hope everyone who ordered it is pleased.

Hi SHOPR, Yes, the vintage ones certainly do have a larger variety of colored bulbs...

You got a great bargain at that garage sale! The value of the vintage trees from the late 60's - 80's are going up too. Real nice ones kept nice w/o chips/missing bulbs/stars a the top of the tree or don't need rewiring/fixture are going for about $150-200! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Re: I just HAD to order this tree!!!

I made a green one in the 70;s in ceramic class and still use it every year. I had to order more bulbs for mine a few years ago since we had lost some so now I have a lot of extra bulbs (had to order a zillion when I ordered them) Mine has an extra base at the bottom and has a music box in it.
