@on the bay Beautiful! Sorry about the loss of such a beauty.
I've experienced your same pain and tears when we had to take out 2 very large oaks in our yard that hung over our house...It was a sad day....

The curtains are so pretty and I've only seen blackout curtains that were just a solid color, so these are so special!

@on the bay I absolutely love these curtains and recommend them. They are better in person and look more expensive than they are.
I've had them for probably 8 years now and used them in 3 different houses.![]()

The little twig hung in there and grew. It is now a nice sized bush. I think the size is limited to the planter we have it in.
Last year it produced over 50 nice sized limes. We made 3 lime pies. The pies were the hit of a Thanksgiving dinner.
This year I think we were a little late taking the lime bush outside. And it produced about 10 small limes. We live in Pennsylvania so we bring it inside for the winter.
@GingerHead Hope you are also successful with your olive tree. It looks like quite a tree already. It is a nice size. Glad it shipped so well.Oh wow @drizzellla, you've had your lime tree for 30 years! How cool is that? It sounds like it produces a lot of limes!
I've seen real trees grown inside before but haven't taken the time to research which ones can survive indoors. I love the look and love trees but unfortunately I'm not very versed in the art of keeping plants and trees alive. haha
That's why I do appreciate faux plants, like this one and I better be successful with it or I've got the worst green thumb ever!
(I think you thought it was alive, if I'm not mistaken....so success! haha)
OOPS! Yes, I did. I really thought it was alive. I was so excited for you. To have a live olive tree. I am still impressed because it does look "lifelike".
We bought the lime twig, when my son was a little guy. He was in grade school, maybe 2nd or 3rd grade. He saw the lime "trees" and wanted to buy one. I thought it was a perfect "starter" living thing for him to try growing. In my mind he was too young for a living animal (hamster, turtle, fish etc.).
Well, the little twig made it. Mom helped on occasion, along the way but basically it was/is his "tree".

Well, that makes me happy that you thought it was real!
I think it looks pretty convincing myself...yay! haha
What a prized possession that lime tree is for you and your family. I love that it started out as your sons. So special.

@GingerHead I realize that this post is over a year old, but I am circling back to it. I have a favor to ask. Would you mind going back through your order history to see if WM still has this tree, and if so, would you screen shot the one I need to order? I know the price will likely differ from what you paid, but it would give me a starting point. I ordered one from Costco this morning but am thinking a smaller one like this might be perfect for a different room in my home.

Looks really nice.
Did the olive tree come with the basket or was that a separate purchase?

I felt the same way about Walmart in the past.
Now have Walmart+ with Inhome add on and LOVE the service and products. Thought the produce would be a lower grade than our regular grocery stores, just the opposite.
Met with a friend the other day and she said she's pretty much switched all her grocery shopping to Walmart she does pick-up. She's picky so was pretty shocked.
