I don't have enough ornaments

When we lived in Pittsburgh we had a dog and not much room for a tree so I had a 4 ft tree that I put on top of my buffet. I had way more than enough ornaments for that tree. So - 2 years ago we moved to Florida. We have tons of space for a large tree and we have 10 ft ceilings so we bought a 91/2 ft tree - only problem is I don't have enough ornaments. Each year since we have been here we have bought 2 Florida themed ornaments and I tried to buy larger size ones. This year is a decorated palm tree and a glittery seahorse. But I still don't really have enough ornaments. I don't want to just buy a package of Christmas balls - every ornament on my tree has some significance - it was a gift , or someone made it for me, or my Mom & I made a bunch of cross stitch ones the first year I was married. Every one of them has sentimental value.DH & I have bought each other an ornament every year as well - though, unfortunately, some rambuncious nephews have broken some of them over the years. So - I decided this year to just go and buy ribbon and make bows to fill in the spaces. I was tying bows all evening, I made ones from 3" to 4 " across and they are very pretty.I have 24 of them. I used triple ribbon so they are nice & full and should do a good job of filling in any bare spots. They are burgandy, silver and white. Ribbon is much cheaper than ornaments and I think much prettier.
