I love the windows & views in this room, but it’s way too neutral and too much white for me. I need color! I would select a few colors that coordinate together to make the room more my style.
I would change the following things:
1. Change the sofas to a darker neutral color. Add a few colorful pillows.
2. Change the grey chairs to a more contrasting vibrant color.
3. Change the birch tree pieces over the fireplace to a landscape or nature print with color.
4. Add color to the table with placemats and a centerpiece.
5. Select a color other than white for the patio furniture.
6. Change the ceiling light fixtures to something else. Not sure what, but I’m sure I do not like the ones hanging.
Do you need more color in this room, or do you like it as it is?

I usually love color, but not in this case. Imho, the neutral colorpallet accentuates the beautiful view outside. Nature should be the focus point, and in this case, it is.

Much to bland for me. I'd start from scratch

I like it the way it is now.. You're getting the color from the outside scenery.

The hanging light fixtures have to go. I'd change the gray chairs to another color.

@wilma - I agree with most of your suggestions! I'm not one for all neutrals. I LOVE the table and would change the centerpiece for a floral arrangement or candles; the placemats are fine. I would change the color of the neutral sofa and chairs. I agree with you about the fireplace. I'm more traditional, so the ceiling fixtures are not my favorites. I do like the candles, so maybe we could eliminate the spheres. I'm fine with the white patio furniture, even though our own is dark green. ![]()

I agree the neutrals are beautiful, but there's a need for a bit of color. I think a set of brightly-colored napkins, a bouquet in the living area (gerbera daisies come to mind), and maybe a shelf or stack of books would be enough.

@wilma This is an extremely personal room to the owners.
This room is about nature, natural neutral colors, and texture. The stones around the fireplace give texture, the birch trees show texture, the table and the mats give texture, and the light fixtures give texture. I bet those stones can be found locally.
The color is coming from the green leaves on the birch trees outside the wall of glass, and makes the birch tree picture personal about the home's setting. The color will change with the seasons. The light fixtures also have a feeling of the cosmos, the stars, which the owners can see each night through the wall of glass.
These rooms are much more than decoration. The owners are in close harmony with their environment and pay homage to it by the connections they've made indoors to the outdoors.
If any color was added, perhaps it would be with a couple toss pillows: yellow like the sun or green to match the green leaves on the birch trees and change out the pillows to match the color of the leaves each season. IMO anything more would take away the sensitivity and purpose of the room.
I really like the pic you posted. Thanks.

I really love this room but a little color would give it more spirit. I do like the light fixtures. They add a little fun and funk to the room.

Room would look beautiful except those awful chandliers and not a fan of heavy pebbled rock fireplaces
