Re: Husbands and Their Decorating Input ??

We had a TV stand with two tiers of glass. Hard to clean. We had had it for a long time. Just awful. This went on too long. I ordered one online. He said not a good idea. It came and we were both impressed. Very easy to clean. Both happy!

Re: Husbands and Their Decorating Input ??

Some men have great decorating sense, and some just don't (or don't care). Mine is a second marriage and I love him dearly but he just doesn't have it. Thankfully he now says "whatever you like is fine with me"...but I know he still has a few pieces that he likes and I try to use them because this is his home too. We don't have a decorator home, but it's comfortable for us. The older we get, less is more for both of us!

Absolutely, his input is to say "yes, ma'am"  and to ask how high should he put the nail to hang a picture I picked out.

IF he "decorated" it would be a deer head in the living room and maybe a calendar in the kitchen for decoration.  Only input on furniture is if it's comfy enough to lay down on with a nice arm rest that will hold a pillow on to watch TV.  UGH!  He is fine with whatever I do and he can have the basement/garage.  Everything in those two spaces gets just hung on a nail on the wall so he can find it LOL! (roll of masking tape?  put a nail in the wall and hang 'er up!)

I have one like that, too.  Yes, we do have a deer head and fish hanging on the walls in the living room...wild life decor throughout living and kitchen areas...but have had several nice comments on how it all came together...We have a cottage-style home and it goes well...

He does do a lot of things for me, so I can't say much...but would soooo like to get  rid of all the wild life decor....but he loves it and I guess that's what matters....

We've done a lot of compromising, on both sides, to be married 46 yrs...

Tell him to stay out of it unless he will go to the various stores to suggest or pick out items.  Most men hate shopping unless you are married to a prince.
