Yes, I had thought of taking it to a museum, but must find out which one, as we've only been here 2 years.  And the idea of checking out the "Antiques Roadshow" schedule is a good one, though I believe they were here just a few years back.

 

"Flaming June" is ringing a distant bell.  I must check that out.  Thanks so much for your kind suggestions.

This is "Flaming June." Frederick Leighton/1895.   I had a poster of this hanging over my bed about 20 years ago.  (Now I have a framed sailboat.)
