How often do you replace your everyday dishes?

We married 30 years ago. The pattern we first used was discontinued 29 yrs. ago, yet I've always loved it. It is Franciscan Cafe Royal. We've had 3 other different sets since then, some trendy and inexpensive. The last set I bought was in 1995. We were down to our last 3 plates in the Cafe Royal.The rest broken over the years. I recently went on a spree, buying a whole new set of the Cafe Royal. I felt guilty for spending the $$$, but I figure its been 16 yrs. since I've purchased tableware. How about you? Do you have a favorite pattern that you want to use forever? My new Cafe Royal purchases are now trickling in and I am just thrilled. I love it more now than I did 30 yrs. ago!
