My two big feet are up on mine right now. I usually have a flameless candle and one other seasonal decoration on my coffee table.

I tried to dress my coffee table up but it was pointless. She can't walk in high heels and the dresses I put on her just didn't hang right.....

I have 2 coffee tables, one in my living room and one in my den. The den one is a large wood and leather trunk which serves the dual purpose of holding magazines, afghans for when it's chilly, and whatever else I want to store out of sight. There's nothing on top of it at all except for an occasional pair of feet.
The one in the living room is glass, very formal looking and rarely used (like the living room itself). I have a silk flower arrangement in the center of it.

Last evening there were 26 posts on this thread and today there are only 25 - honestly, what could someone think of to say about coffee tables that was offensive?

Sad, but seems like even the most innocent of threads can quickly turn nasty. It's a shame.

In the formal living, I have a vase with faux peonies (that look real) and a small tray with a couple candles. When we entertain, I replace the peonies with fresh flowers.
In the family room, the coffee table decorates itself with a lot of remotes, magazines, books, and snacks. It seems I'm constantly cleaning that thing off...despite our rule that everyone cleans up after himself in there. Usually, it's the grandchildren who leave it a mess.

My hope when I had an antique trunk refinished was that I could use it as a coffee table. Unfortunately, it's a couple inches too high and never looked right. I have found a way to use it as a side table.
