Re: How do you change your home in the summertime?

I don't change much, just the decorator items.  I change the placemats and the pot holder/dish towels.  I have summer floral theme that is more Springy.  I just lighten things up with touches of pastels and flowers.

I'm not a fan of summer so I only change out to lighter fabrics with pillows and throws on my sofas. That's about it.

I change to lighter sheets and coverlets

Throw pillows change to lighter and brighter colors

I have some Summer themed Shell Decor pieces that I take out.

Of course outdoor plants

Summer Decor around the Pool and on the Dock.

We live on the Bay so almost everyone here decorates for Summer.

I lived in a row home in the city and my Mom changed the entire house over to Summer when I was a kid......the blow up pool in our TINY yard was my ocean...and I loved it!Woman LOL

Americana decor in the summer, Memorial Day and July 4th. This includes, wreath on the front door, red flowers in navy pots by the front door, dining room table centerpiece, kitchen towels and family room mantle. Summer/lighter sheets on the beds and lots of AC.

I don't change anything.   Now that I think about it, neither did my Mother.

I change the wreath on the front door, the silk flowers on the table and take the blanket off the bed..

As long as the curtains, bedding, etc. are clean I don't care that it stays the same all year long.

I change the pillows on the sofa and chairs, that's about it ...

fall/winter pillows are burgundy with a hint of green.  Spring/summer pillows are a green vine with cream background.

I change out my sheets. I use fleece sheets  for Fall & Winter and I use cotton sheets for Spring & Summer. And I change my area rug in my foyer also. I use a lighter color for the warm months and a darker one for the cold months.

Re: How do you change your home in the summertime?

I change out the wreath on the door seasonally. I also like to have cotton blankets and cotton quilts on the beds in the summer. In the winter I just change out to comforters.

I don't change our curtains, as it is just too much of a job but years ago I used to switch to sheers...

I also like fresh flowers in the dining room. They always make the room look festive..
