Orange oil. This is what professional exterminators use. You can find it on Amazon.

Cannot believe people still use toxic poisons around their home. here in my home and yard, i sprinkled diatomaceous earth which is a huge bag for real cheap around the foundation....this is if the area will be or remain dry. They never came in the house again and these were fire ants. U can also use the blue packet artificial sweetener as an ant killer in the areas that will be or are wet i use a gallon of water with about 1 to 2 T orange oil...drives them out. Lower dose if pouring over plwnt beds. someday i hope to see all pesticide compwnies go out of business...poisons!

You can get rid of them in one treatment. Buy this product called 'Home Defense'. Home Depot, Walmart or any garden center carries it. It is a spray that can be used inside and out. You spray the entire foundation of the house. The key to this is it gets rid of the nest and the Queen. Good Luck!

Almost forgot....Also spray all the of the baseboards in every room. I know it seems like a lot of work, but it's worth it.

I got little ants every spring around my kitchen window. I had checked on line for a non-toxic repellent. I have been using baby powder for years now and have not seen an ant since. And, it smells so good!!!

I don't spray because I have cats and don't want them exposed to it.

Lowes and WalMart sell the Terro.

My plain old ant baits are Raid - any kind is fine.

I have tried Terro, traps, different spices and they kept coming. I found that Raid ant and roach works the best for me. I hate them...so far not enough rain to bring them in yet but it will happen. I need to get out and spray the foundation with the outside commercial bug spray.

Boric Acid! Get it at your drug store. Ask the pharmacist. It is harmless to people or animals. It is inexpensive. Works great. It is a powder and just put a stream down and the little guys are gone. Also kill cockroaches.

That Chinese ant chalk works really well, but not if you have pets...
