Can you give the wheels a clear coat or paint them white ?

WE have several Dysons, my oldest stick is probably 6 years old. They all still work well.

I've been trying to figure out a way to replace just the wheels, but I don't think I'm mechanically talented enough to do so. I would buy another one, but they don't make them any longer.

@Marsha2003 If you have a vacuum repair store in your area, they might be able to find wheels. I know the older fellow whose shop I go to will retire someday, but I appreciate his honesty and reasonable prices.

Mine have lasted a long time. The Dyson stick vacuum I have now is over 5 years old and works great. I had to replace the battery once about 2 years ago but that was an easy process. I empty the little cup after each use - normally every other day. My Dysons have worked well for me over the years, and I swear by them.

When we were in FL last year, we took a vacuum for repair / battery ( ? ) to a vac shop. The price coated was outrageous so we told him to just keep it. A new one purchased on line would be cheaper and last longer.

Worst investment I have made was a Dyson cordless stick vacuum. I hated having to use it while I was running to try and get at least a partial cleaning before it died. It never showed the cleaning time that was advertised. The battery was supposedly fine when i stook it to a repair shop (not easy to find) and the guy didn't really like working on Dysons. I finally just stuck it in the garage and bought a Shark corded vac....so nice to take my time when I need to so I can get under things without damaging the vacuum head. I will probably buy a Shark cordless also....Dyson is all hype and overpriced in my opinion. DD has had similar problems with hers as well, so I know my experience isn't unique.

We HAD a Dyson stick vac and I loved it - considered it a real game changer until it stopped working after less than a year... I have replaced it with an inexpensive cordless vac from Amazon - not sure how it will fare but I can't justify paying that much for a Dyson again.
