I don't do a lot of Spring decorating other than changing out my front door wreath. I don't like pastel colors and they do not go in my house at all, so i didn't even really watch. I caught a few minutes last night but didn't see anything that screamed to me......I love a lot of Valerie's things, just not the Spring items much..

@Zsazsa @Nataliesgramma   I too caved and bought the resin bunny with the lantern in the ivory!!!!!  I tried to fight it off all afternoon,  just couldn't do it.......  Relieved that I am not alone, LOL!!!!

@LindaSal- the only reason I didn't succumb to the bunny was that I bought it in the ivory last year.  You will love it and the battery lasts a long time.

I liked the bunny with lantern too, but my mom picked one up similar (slightly smaller, but actually better detailed) at TJ Maxx two years ago, that I think is much better done.

Unfortunately, when she got hers, I passed on it. Sorry I did because it was under $20 and I love hers. Whenever I see a bunny with a lantern now, I use hers as the measure of what I'm looking for in detail and price. So that kept me from ordering!

Whatever works to stop the purchase!

I liked quite a few items but only bought one, the glass jar with the warm/bright light choice.  I love to watch Valerie's shows, they are about the only shows I do look for on the Q.  While I have all the stores which sell crafts and similar items in my area, I still enjoy Valerie's decorations.  Watching her presentations is relaxing and fun for me and a nice break.

@CANDLEQUEEN I'm not a pastel person, either. The interior of my house is earthtones, except for a new wool rug I just bought that has some blue in it. That being said, I love spring and I enjoy all of the pastels outside, hence this spring wreath will be hung outside and later boxed up until next year. It's not really something I would hang in my house due to the colors. I sure do love the Fall one, though. Right down my alley.

I really liked the matching flower Urns....the one for the Spring was so beautiful and I wanted it BUT I HATED that ugly black urn she put it in!  THe only urn that was gorgeous was the Fall one with the bronzing effect done to it.  WHY did she opt to put the others in the ugly black urn and that one in such a gorgeous one??

I would have ordered it....so it's a good thing LOL

@tsavorite  I believe that most decorators feel that black "grounds" a room. I didn't think they were ugly at all, but I did love the Fall one as well. Just a thought: paint it?

Re: How Did Everyone Do?

Black urns are classic, but I would have liked if she did a different color urn for each season, since it was an autodelivery.  Like a soft green for spring, stone for summer, and an antique silver for winter.  I liked the bronze one for fall.  If most of the urns were black, the filler should have been interchangeable - lowering the price.   She is planning on offering more urn fillers for the large floor urn.

Didn't buy anything. Wasn't tempted at all.  I don't use fake flowers in my home or outside decorating. Have mercury balls already and the othe items didn't appeal to me. Come to think of it, I don't really decorate for Spring and am not really into pastel colors. I did buy a few items from HSN.  A 3 shelf Oragami organizer and some storage containers with lids.

Hi, everyone!  What a morning!  We had a plumber out last week to fix two leaks in my husband's bathroom.  Saturday night we noticed the carpet still wet in the adjoining bedroom but couldn't find a leak.  Well.....the plumber came back this morning and had to cut a big ol' hole in the wall in our guest bedroom!  The good news?  He found and fixed the leak.  The bad news?  We have a big ol' hole in the wall!!!

While the sawing was going on I cursed myself for buying the few things I did.  How much was this repair going to cost?  Why buy more when you try and try to get rid of things?  Oh, well.  I enjoy decorating and didn't spend much (compared to what I usually spend).

I spent the time the plumber was here going through a pie safe I keep a lot of my smaller vintage knick-knacks in.  I dropped off an entire bag at the resale shop for them to do with as they wish.  I organized all my pieces according to Christmas, Valentine's Day, & Spring.  I bought nothing while out today and hope to continue buying a little, purging a lot, and saving some $$$$ in between.

Have a good afternoon, everyone!

Okay, the time has come to check in with all my forum friends and see how all of you did today.  I'll fess up first ~ I purchased the egg-shaped bunny wreath, a set of mercury glass bluebirds and a set of mercury glass hearts in white.  The guilt is starting to set in because as many of you know, my purging project has been a great success (although far from over).

Now for my gripes.  I would have loved to see a presentation of the wreath I bought.  Once again, the TSV and all the matching pieces were beaten into the ground ~ again and again.  I heard Valerie mention at the beginning of the show with Alberti that there was lots of new in the show ~ new they didn't know about until 30 minutes before the show.  Where was it????  I got all jazzed thinking maybe, just maybe, there would be some cute new pieces for Spring but nada.

I guess I didn't do too bad today.  How about all of you?

@Julie928  Maybe the new were the comforters?  I bought the candle pedestals in blush, a garland and candle rings, and two Jim shore pieces.  If there had been a better easy pay option, I would have bought more garlands.
