I would say as long as they give you a hour that should be fine. Make sure to keep your house show ready at all times. That way you can be out within a hour. We had a dog and I am disabled so we had to take the wheelchair with us. If they call at dinner time you say we are eating dinner you have to give us a hour. You can cut times off for showings at a certain time. Say after seven and no earlier then a certain time. You need to be ready because you never know who will be that buyer. They may go find another house if you aren’t a little flexible. If you keep your house show ready it shouldn’t be hard to leave within a half hour to a hour. Just remember the point is to get your house sold. It’s a pain but will be eventually be over.

From my experience, a normal life goes out the window once your home is on the market! Everything revolves around having your home in "show" condition. That said, I can't imagine having to deal with apps with potential home buyers.

The app I've had experience with only notifies you that a showing is requested. It gives you a date and time. It takes the place of your realtor calling/emailing/texting the showing request.
It's only an option of communication regarding showings...

I'm guessing the RA with the client that didn't want a brick house thought maybe she would change her mind if the house had all her other must haves. It might have been her first time trying to get past the "no brick" line item.

When we were selling our home up north, I hated the whole selling ordeal. Our agent would call us but other agents just showed up "they were in neighborhood" yeah right😯
Due to death of parent(s) there are 3 houses for sale on our street. They had open houses today -- (the streets are narrow to start with) people were literally standing outside waiting their turns & cars all over.
I hope it's. this way when I sell...because I hated people coming thru all times of the day!
Hope your home sells fast!

If or when I sell my house, it will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. It will be when it's convenient for me, NOT when it's convenient for the real estate agent or the buyers.

The market in your area determines whether or not you can do this. I expect to sell my home in the next year and won’t have to list it. My agent already has interested buyers and we’ll do a private sale. No open houses!

Uninstall the app from your phone and let them handle showings the old fashioned way.
Even though I do have one, when someone asks for my cell phone number I tell them I don't have one.
I just recently upgraded to a smart phone but I don't use it to surf the net, use apps or check e-mails.

Your agent should be able to help you with this issue. I too lived in my home when selling and we did not have any open houses and showing was by appt. only and nothing passed 8 p.m.
House was sold in 10 days! Hang in there, remove the app from your phone and let your agent do the work for you.

Wow. I just discovered I am not a high maintenance person. For us, 30 minutes would be fine 90 percent of the time (unless someone is in the shower). What do y'all have out that you have to hide? LOL!!!
