As many of you know My Reilley and I are moving to France!

I lost my dear twin two years ago and it's been a rough two years. Two years of pain, grief, tears and being completely lost without her.We had our visas which allowed us to move and I lost her before dream became reality.

My broker sent a photographer on Thursday, he took pictures of the interior and exterior along with an aerial of the house, he also installed a lockbox.

It was to go live yesterday.

On Wednesday an older couple knocked on the door and asked if they might see the house. They're relatives of a neighbor down the street, I've seen the neighbor but don't know her.

I showed them the house and then they went to the backyard and we're very excited.

So excited like kids in a candy store. They mentioned they were to retire in ten years and desired to live in this neighborhood close to their relative, until then they were going to rent the house out.

I jokingly said I will need a place to rent .

Thursday afternoon I had a call from my broker asking me to come in and to bring My Reilley with me. The older couple had driven to his office after they left my home and made an offer! Word of mouth is golden.

We made a counter offer which included that they rent the house to me for 90 days after closing. They accepted every contingency. My rent will be 1/2 of the market in my area.

I still need a full house inspection.
'I'm excited and I thank God for my Broker, it really pays to find the right broker who has been trained by the right mentor.  He has really looked out for me and realized how very fragile I was and still am.

I wanted to share with you all what I've been up to.

BTW, My Reilley is healthy, no change in his heart murmur, he's just old like most  of us are.

That is exciting!  Will you be able to still be part of the forums when you move?

@Alsace Gal - I wish you all the very best on your move to France.  If I had the wherewithal now, I'd buy a home in Italy.

Hoping that everything goes well for you and that you enjoy this new chapter of your life.  (Oh, the fresh croissants, fresh produce, markets.  Wonderful.)

Thank you so very much! I won't be buying I'll rent. I live in an area way north of the  San Francisco Bay Area and home prices are fraction of SF.

I want to rent a large studio or small 1 bedroom. I won't own a car!

I always gain weight eating croissants!

@Alsace Gal . I just want to say I am just so sorry for the loss of our beloved twin sister.  I have identical twin daughters, who are in mid 50's now. Their closeness is a bond so special. Again, I am truely sorry. But I am excited about you selling your ho,

me. And the way it happened , and just fell together is truely a good omen. I wish you the best, peace and happiness in your new adventure

Thinking that would be way north of Marin County?  Grew up in SF so know the bay area pretty well, it's beautiful.

@Alsace Gal - How exciting for you! And congratulations! May I assume by your forum name you"ll be living in that area?

I'm sorry you lost your twin. I kind of understand. My mom was an identical twin, and I saw how much they were connected. My aunt and uncle never had children, so I was "theirs" too! They didn't live near each other geographically, but we made a lot of trips up and down the east coast!

When Mom died my aunt said she felt like she lost her right arm. Life was never the same.

Thank you so very much. Your girls are lucky to have each other.

As a twin you're bonded together from birth. It is difficult. We were fraternal twins.

I still can't get over how quickly it happened.
'I still need to get through inspections and escrow.

Shoekitty, thank you for your kind words.
