Our HomeGoods actually has both clothes and home. Think TJ Maxx with furniture and expanded home decor and kitchenware.

Nothing like Hobby lobby or Michael's. In fact, mine has a Hobby lobby next door to it.

I've been in Homegood stores with clothing and home items. I've also been in stores with home items only. The one near where I live only has home items. I love going in there though I should probably stay away lol.

Re: Home Good Store question.

There are three Home Goods Stores near me.  One has TJMax on one side of the showroom.

They sell kitchen stuff. Pots and Pans, Dishes, glassware, small appliances, kitchen linens kitchen gadgets and small kitchen tools.

Bathroom storage, towels, shower curtains, scales.  Everything for the bathroom decor.

Wall art, lamps, rugs,  home office, supplies, toss pillows, nick nicks, mirrors, padded hangers, laundry supplies, step stools and hampers

Pet beds and treats and other pet items...toys and pet storage containers.

bed linens of every type, bed pillows,  kids bedroom linens, kids toys and decor.

furniture, like tables, chairs and cabinets.

seasonal and holiday decor, candles

outdoor items, like planters, outdoor furniture, lights

They have lot of home stuff. If you see something you like, pick it up immediately.  When you go back in 10 minutes to get it, it will be gone.  You can always put it back if you change your mind.

Re: Home Good Store question.

I moved 3 years ago. When mentioning HomeGoods here, people would look at me like I had 3 heads! They had no idea what they were missing. Well, fast forward to now, I now have a HomeGoods store about 30 miles away! I am soooooo thrilled! They had their grand opening last weekend! Woman Happy

Home Goods will open a store in Mt Kisco walking distance from my sons condo. That should be fun!

My town of about 25,000 is just now catching up to a lot of stores others have had for years. Recently we just got a Hobby Lobby and a TJ Max. But, I read and hear about Home Goods. Is it a general merchandise store with a variety of items, similar to a TJ Max or more in the line of a Michael's or Hobby Lobby?  I really don't need another store to entice me to spend $$ on decorating, but I am curious. Since we do have a Hobby Lobby now, my spending on QVC decorating items has dropped considerably since I can hold out for the 66-90% sales. I stalk the store and make my choices and then keep checking back to see when they drop the prices. (only live 10 min. away.) Of course on those big haul days, the goodies are hidden in the trunk of the car until hubby is away.

@nomar  Yes, a large variety, even furniture and lamps, pillows, throws, pet items, garden items, frames, bedding, you name it,  and you can probably fiind it there.

Re: Home Good Store question.

We're getting a Home Sense, which is the newest member of the TJMaxx family.  It has ever more furniture and fixtures.

I went into one on Long Island and it was really disorganized.  I'm hoping the new one we are getting is more organized.

Re: Home Good Store question.

I only Home Good store we have is crammed in the back of a Marshall's Store. It is so weird you have Marshall's with tons of stuff. And then Home Good stuff packed into the last isle of the Marshall's store.

No one goes back there because it is tough to try and get around, there is so much stuff packed in there.
