Re: Historic House For Sale In Tucson, AZ

Interesting and some of it I like, but not some of the colors, and I don't care for the kitchen much, nor do I like pedastal sinks in bathrooms....The floors are nice. It would be so hard for me to get used to not having grass, being from the Midwest!

I like the house and it sure does have potential.

The outside could be transformed into a beautiful setting. I would also have to change most of the interior paint colors.

The wall colors are beautiful but I wouldn't want them for my home.  I would also have ro renovate the kitchen and replace those pedestal sinks.

Thanks for sharing!

@CANDLEQUEEN We moved to Phoenix from Oregon. It was it little hard to get used to no grass. We planted citrus trees and a lot of plants that don't use much water. Our plants bloom a couple of times a year so we have a colorful yard of purple, orange, red and yellow.

I now appreciate how beautiful the desert is. Sounds crazy, I know.

You would quickly get rid of any grass if you had to spend one summer outside cutting it every week. Even at 7 am it can be over 100 degrees. Plus the water bill would eat your wallet alive.

The interior, with modifications, along with the guest quaters potentially has a lot of appeal. I'm not, though, a fan of Spanish style architecture, so the exterior is a no go for me.

I did like the inside "bones" of the home but did not care for the outside at all.  They needed to pick one family of color and stayed with through out.  They were all over the color charts and it was not pleasant to my eyes.  Like the warm tones.

My personal preference is the polar opposite of south west.  Please enjoy.

I also don't like Mission or "Arts and Crafts" furniture which was the change after the glamour of Victorian.

@ECBG  Agree with you. Not a fan of any of these influences.

Amazingly, my color and style likes and dislikes are rooted from an unusually young age.

When I dislike something, I have appreciated the beauty but not personally loved.

I didn't like a single design by Frank Lloyd Wright, the trail blazer of modern style.
