That would be "extra."

I doubt that would be good for the stairs if they're made out of wood.

@SloopJohnB   I was thinking the same thing.  I guess it's used like a larger scale wine storage rack, just under the stairs.  Unique, that's for sure.

But if I'm going to go through the effort of building a real wine cellar, it must be temperature controlled.

I see only one problem with this.

The drawers are mostly empty.
