Fill up gas tank BEFORE it's down to 1/4.
Bring meat and eggs up to room temp BEFORE cooking or using in baking.
Don't rinse pasta after draining.
When cooking anything to freeze, cool completely to room temp, and then refrigerate completely, before covering and freezing.
Don't sweat the small stuff. Let it go.

All of my Lock n Lock is square or rectangular for that very reason.

I roll out pie dough on plastic wrap (like Cling wrap ). Top and bottom. That way you don't need to use extra flour and it's easy to transfer to the pie plate.

I open every type of jar or plastic container with the silver metal beer-can opener. Pointy end goes below the cap - and lift up.

This a.m. turned on the shower, the water started squirting everywhere except inside the shower. Soaking wet, I went into the kitchen grabbed the WD, sprayed the shower nozzel twice for good measure, returned can under the kitchen sink, soaked up the water off the floor, turned on the shower-----FIXED!
I love WD40 - spray in the key hole of door locks when they're hard to open.

Always use a long, thin-bristled brush or vacuum under your refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer. Lots of dust collects. My neighbor's refrigerator stopped working and the repair guy showed her all the dust under the refrigerator. First remove the horizontal plastic base of the refrig. to make vacuuming easier.

I learned this on this very board: There is a opening on the bottom of your glass oven door - you can stick something long and skinny inside the door to clean out the dirt and dust bunnies.
Mind blown.

Well now I have to look for this. What do you use that is long and skinny? How wide is the space or does it vary?

The only thing long and skinny enough that I could find, was an old wire hanger wrapped in paper towels. I had a duster, but the handle was not long enough.

@qualitygalAfter I mix up my dough for my cutout cookies I divide the dough up and roll it between two layers of wax paper and stack my layers on a cookie sheet and refrigerate them, when I'm ready to bake the cookies I just pull out a flat of dough and pull the top layer of wax paper off and cut out my cookies and bake them on parchment paper. This is so much easier on my arthritic hands than trying to roll out hard cold dough.
