Re: Helpfull hints to pass along, that you've learned?

When making drop cookies I spray my scooper with Pam and the cookie dough does not stick. I also spray my hands when I need to press sticky dough in a pan.

When frying up ground meat in a pan for a dish and you have to break it up. I use a metal potato masher, works like a charm breaking things up.

I can't believe how long it took me to figure this one out.  My plastic spatula kept sticking to morning eggs.  So I sprayed Pam on it as well as the pan.  Better late than never I guess, it's a breeze now.  Sheesh!!!  Ding, ding, ding!!!!! LOL Woman Wink

Check nozzle direction of Pam cooking spray BEFORE you spray.  Just making dinner tonight and got a got spray to my face and eyes!  LOL!

Turn the can up side down and spray it in the trash can until a bit of air comes out the valve...that clears it out so it won't clog and cause the spray pattern to go wonky.

I use Pam spray to keep my snow shovels clear of sticking snow. Duh! I don't know why I never thought of that before. Been shoveling the white stuff all of my life it seems and I always hated it when I had to interrupt my routine to remove the stuck on clumps of snow!

If you use scented wax melts, use a cotton ball in the warmer to soak up the melted wax after the scent is gone. Clean, easy and quick.

My grandmoter taught me to make the best mashed potatoes, always heat your milk and butter, then add to your potatoes and mash.  They are always hot, creamy and delicious!

@qualitygal   To boil potatoes, place sufficient cold water and potatoes together in your pot.  Bring the water up to boil and then add your salt.  This way the potatoes cook evenly and the salt doesn't pit your stainless steel, if that's what you are using.

For boiling eggs, place cold water in the pan, bring to a rolling boil, add a dash of vinegar, lower room temperature eggs in one by one with a slotted spoon into the water, turn heat down to a very low simmer, cover tightly, and the eggs will be perfect (no green ring on yolks) after 20 to 25 minures.

If you don't have a jar opener gadget you can use  a lobster cracker surrounding the jar's cap to get a good grip to help unfasten the lid.

But, the older I get and having decreasing hand strength I recommend investing in the adjustable jar opener gadget--saves lots of aggravation!

Excellent, fun topic, by the way.  Love to learn new tips.

Happy Saturday!

Have had this for over 20+ yrs maybe more...

Electric jar opener

For all its usage:  copy/paste link--->editorchoice.com/wd-40-19-ways-change-your-life/3/

This a.m. turned on the shower, the water started squirting everywhere except inside the shower.  Soaking wet, I went into the kitchen grabbed the WD, sprayed the shower nozzel twice for good measure, returned can under the kitchen sink, soaked up the water off the floor, turned on the shower-----FIXED!

I've learned to steam eggs instead of boiling them.  So much easier to peel.
