Help with an Octagon Window

From our front porch upon entering into our foyer to the direct left is a step down Den with a beautiful white wooden framed Octagon window that really adds a lot of character to the room.

My question is should I put some type of window treatment on it or leave it as is?

My only problem is outside of the window is our front porch and because the Den is down lower from the outside you can see into the Den at night. It's difficult to describe this.

Any suggestions? TIA
