Help! Rotten Chicken Smell in Car

We accidentally left 2 packages of raw chicken in the trunk of our car for a week. What an odor!!! We hadn't gone out very much during that time, and when we did, we'd smell the odor, but thought, perhaps, our neighbor had let his dogs' poo accumulate. Never occurred to us that it might be coming from our car until, after a week, we went out and noticed that the odor went with us. Obviously, couldn't be the dogs.

We've tried everything we could think of to get rid of it: baking soda, bowl of vinegar, regular charcoal (couldn't find the activated stuff), Febreeze, leaving the trunk and windows open, air fresheners (the ones you buy and hang from your rearview mirror), and some stuff from the hardware store that's supposed to eliminate odors (don't know the name of it at the moment). Although the odor isn't as strong as it was, it's still there. Next, we're going to put some dryer fabric sheets out there and see if they have any effect.

Would anyone have any recommendations as to what else we could possibly try to eliminate all of the smell? We, and our noses, would very much appreciate your help!!!
