You could do the math - take the amount of detergent in the box (should be in oz) and divide by 120- that will tell you the oz per load then there are 8 oz in a cup so if it is say 2 oz per load it would be a 1/4 cup.
Ha I was going to guess 1/4 cup, I am spoiled I buy the laundry pods never a question of how much to use

so if you have a small load, how do you use a pod? wouldn't that be too much laundry soap?

OK, I'll bite, 211 oz divided by 120 = 1.75...does this mean use less than 1/4 per load? As you can see math is NOT my thing...well I was good at it in school but my 40 something brain doesn't work the same as it used to, lol
Close enough - I would use a 1/4 cup.

I have an HE front loader. I used an old bottle of Tide and got suds all over. When the cycle finished it said SUD in the readout. Guess I won't do that again. So, yes, losing the scoop would be a problem to me, also. What I would do is go buy another box of soap, you will always use it eventually.
