Being somewhat addicted to HGTV and the 'sell this house' type shows, I have a question for this forum. I know that wallpaper borders are way 'out' but I had a three color border painted by hand along the top of my formal living/dining and foyer area. It is not 'country' at all, more a scroll design, and again, it goes across a plain painted wall that is neutral ivory.
The colors are also pretty dark shades of green/navy/wine and the total width is about five inches. Do you think this should be painted over? I think it still looks classic, but I'm probably biased based on paying an artist to do it. I'd do it again in a new house, but am looking at something that may be seen as more 'unique' than outdated for resale in the next five years. Am I delusional?
