I need a new refrigerator. I saw a Haier model that might work.

Haier makes a lot of electronic products that aren't very good.  I had a Haier TV on which the audio was terrible.  However, they were originally a refrigeration manufacturer, Korean as I recall, and go back quite a way so their refrigerators might be good.

I'd consider buying this name brand in an air conditioner, dehumidifier, freezer, or refrigerator.

Haier was the brand of mini fridge in both departments I worked in at the hospital.   In writing purchase orders as part of my job, I learned that every department mini fridge was a Haier.   Our purchasing agent was specific to this brand because of reliability.   The ones I ordered before my retirement were replacing units nearly 20 years old.

We have a small Haier fridge in our sun room and it has worked great for probably 15 years.  No problem here.

Mine is over 20 years old and has never had an issue.  It’s like a tank.

They bought out GE appliance division, it's a Chinese company.  When we were in the market for new kitchen appliances, the salesman showed us a Haier fridge and pointed out how cheaply they were made.

That brand seems to have basic models which are fine by me.
