Costco Concierge Services - Experience?

Has anyone used this service? The reviews are not good for product failures.

I used them once and didn't have a good experience with them either.

I've used this service at least a half dozen times over the years. My experience is that I think it depends on who you speak with. Most of the calls have been very helpful and the agents knowledegable. I've had a couple calls that were not too productive and I called back and got someone else and stated the previous instructions were not helpful in resolving the issue.... I think I did ask to speak with a supervisor on one issue and my problem was resolved.  I've called on televisions, telephones, cameras and laptops. I find that since it is US based it can be easier to explain your issue (haven't called in a while...hope that hasn't changed). I prefer making that call instead of the manufacturer''s customer service much of the time

I would have to say that I found the service has been a nice one to have available to us, we may have been lucky on who we have dealt with there. ...

Re: Costco Concierge Services - Experience?

I used the service a LOT some years ago when I bought a lot of electronics from Costco.  I would say the level of expertise from the CS people got worse as the years went on.  My sense was that this was a subcontractor and that the wages were not very high so they didn't attract the most competent people.

I finally got an IT guy who's brilliantSmiley HappySmiley Happy and if I have a short question or easy fix he'll do it through "remote connection" without charge (of course, other things there is a charge)!!

Re: Costco Concierge Services - Experience?

I was thinking about buying a refrigerator from Costco,  mainly because I thought their Concierge Services would give better customer service than Best Buy, Home Depot or Lowe’s. I don’t know where I got that impression,  However, the reviews I’ve read are more negative than positive.
