Re: HOUSE OUTSIDE LONDON

I like the dividers.  They help define the space but does maintains the open feel.  It's a lovely space except for the sink in the powder room.  Everyhting else is well done IMO.

I like a few of her touches, but I don't care for the slant to "modern".  Never cared for that style of fireplace which evokes the 50's.

Modern as well as any other style can look dated.

I love the colors.

Too modern for me to want it, but I certainly do appreciate how well it is done. I'd enjoy spending time here, just not owning it.

And not what I expected from the title. I don't travel internationally, but when I hear "London", I picture something much different, and much older.

I know the rest of the world has modernized, I just have a romantic notion of 'old' when I hear 'London'! LOL

Strangely, I find everything here appealing except for that framed thing over the sofa.  Up close, it's a collection of holes.  But from a distance it looks like a giant hairball.

Either way, it doesn't need to be on the wall.

Funny, that framed picture, hairball as you described, appeared to me to be a beige picture of the virus!

@Oznell

These rooms are so inviting & gorgeous looking!  (umm .. with the exception of the black bathroom.  Feels like night time 24/7.)

Her use of those soft colors, including the blush, I really love.  The other neutral bathroom is so airy & tranquil.

Thanks for sharing.

I've looked at the photos several times to see if there's anything I like about it.  Nope, beige on beige on beige.  It's too much like an upscale hotel room.

I want my home to have some character and color; at least some touches of color.  Nothing about this home suggests London or even England to me.  And I don't find it calming or relaxing; just boring.

As for that painting on the living room wall - well, that would go immediately.

Excellent designer and photos.

I've been watching Escape to the Country on DABL TV.

Lots of beautiful converted old homes.  Lots of background info re: UK and surrounding countryside and beautiful scenery.

@Venezia  This is my issue with so much of the high end contemporary design I see. It all looks very grand and very impersonal. I suppose some folks like a hotel aesthetic but I'm not among them.
