Re: Great place to find inexpensive, empty cookie tins?

michaels has an excellent selection......all kinds of shapes, sizes, designs, and materials. the dollar store has some also, but no where near the selection that michaels has.

Re: Great place to find inexpensive, empty cookie tins?

Last year I baked cookies for the guys in my department for Christmas. I went to the dollar store and I was able to acquire some really inexpensive cute christmas tins.

Big Lots has tons of them around $1-5 each various sizes and shapes and great quality. The one I bought at the dollar tree last year bent badly as it is a thinner tin. The ones at Big Lots are great and so cute!

Well, I guess you won't do better price-wise that $1 storeSmile, but I thought I would just mention that thrift stores often have a huge selection of these kinds of tins. I would go to one that supports a local charity or humane society, they usually have more of these tins than Goodwill does. Good luck finding your tin, that sounds like a nice tradition to begin.

Re: Great place to find inexpensive, empty cookie tins?

You all have given me such great tips, thank you so much! I had managed an outing to Home Goods last week, but they didn't have enough of their seasonal supply out yet, and I don't know when I'll be able to get out again. I will definitely check those places, thanks a million for taking the time to share those pictures & ideas, I truly appreciate it.

I am so impressed that many who responded to OP's post not only gave suggestions, but searched online and posted pictures.

Well done! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

The Dollar Stores for tins, Xmas paper, bags, bows, tissue paper and tags, you beat them. It's amazing what they offer.
