Yesterday my new carpet was installed in two rooms upstairs, as well as on the stairway, and in the master bedroom downstairs.

As opposed to the first installer I had to send away due to his couldn't-be-worse attitude (negativity thread in Friends), yesterday's crew consisted of two young men who were not only professional and competent, but pleasant and positive, Jorge and Mike.  They just happened to be brothers.  

I made sure their boss heard about their great performance and they got a tip also.

Now to put back all my "stuff."  I'm tired already!

(The carpet is beige and white.  It may seem a bit gray in this photo.  Lighting does funny things.)

Its always a pain to get new carpet and then put it all back.

Apologies for sort of hijacking here, but I wanted to praise good workers that I was involved with yesterday.

I live in a HOT state and it was to be 107 degrees here yesterday.  But it was the last day I could get my car's emission testing done, so I go and get in the long line.  I was like 12th in line when I could see the workers up ahead.  They were processing us very quickly, while working/sweating in the heat!  

I know I couldn't have been as pleasant as them, but they were very nice, courteous,  while sweating in the 107 degree heat!  I thanked them and told them that we appreciate them.  It only took my sitting in line about 20 minutes, so not bad at all, and glad to get that over with!!

My husband owns a shop and right now it is so hot in there. His employees are always polite and courteuos when dealing with the customers. I don't know how the handle it. They probably cursing behind the closed doors. I would be too.

Your carpet looks great! And I love the neutral shades, right up my alley!

It does wonders to have good professional and pleasant contractors doing work, doesn't it. Makes the entire experience something special.
