Re: Getting To Know Each Other Better

I'm so glad this started up again. I am also a people person. Wished I could address each post..... but I know it's impossible. I haven't been able to get out much due to some health problems so I am really enjoying finding out about you, meeting new people, and learning more about some I am already familiar with.

I once kept a ladybug alive for months in cold weather with lights, lettuce and water. He (or was it a she {#emotions_dlg.confused1}) lived under a lamp in my living room. My elderly father told me I needed to get a life. The grand kids, however got a big kick out of it!

What a pleasant and positive post. Thank you.

Softball was a life saver for me when I was a pre-teen. I enjoyed playing softball for 30 years on various teams. Great memories of playing on co-ed teams with husband.

Hi! I am rather boring..I am retired and taking care of my DH who has Parkinson's. Our daughter, her husband and our 2 grandsons are moving in with us to give me a break in 2 weeks. I am thrilled to have them here.

Re: Getting To Know Each Other Better

I am a grandmother in my mid-60's, so most people are surprised to find out that I am a college football nut! I like to watch college football more than most of the males in my family! I have been known to watch up to 8 games on any given Saturday.

I also like spending time with my one and only grandson. Everyone tells him he looks like me, and I don't think he quite knows how to take that. I am sure he doesn't want to look like a grandmom!!

So glad you are getting some help. I have a friend who is going through the same thing with her husband who also has Parkinson's. I have been helping out my elderly parents for many years now. My sister and I help each other. Don't know what I would do without her. How wonderful your daughter and family will be there to help you.

You're welcome, Ury. I'm glad you like it. DH likes to watch girls softball on TV. I don't have an athletic bone in my body...I envy you!
