We use the TOUGH BAG brand of garbage bags and have never had an issue with leakage in 5+ years. We use 44 gal. bags but they are available in a number of sizes based on your need. In addition to weekly garbage waste (some of which is liquid) we also use them for yard and landscaping waste. They are the best bags we've ever used and we've tried them all. We buy ours from Amazon.

@AnikaBrodie Thank you for that tip. Those look good for any homeowner to have on hand. I'll pick some up. I do already have some Glad Force Flex bags around so I'll use them for my immediate get-rid-of-liquid need.

@Pearlee wrote:@hkrgrl Yes to what @Imaoldhippie told you. Also in my original post I said "liquids" so nothing about canned goods. It was pretty simple, and thanks to some responses here I have the info I need.
liquids can mean many things.
and if it coffee, tea, soup, etc., then why not down your kitchen sink?
what am i missing here?
