Re: Garage Turned into Paris Home

I really, really, really don't like that at all.  Probably not one thing about it.  It's elaborate, and it's sophisticated, but there is nothing about it that appeals to me.

Okay, I admit it, I'm a dinosaur, and I'm starting to find most current decorating styles just not to my liking.  I like either traditional or homey, cozy looks and I just can't get into the current styles.  If I had to live in that place, my brain would explode.

That is super cool and a great use of former commercial space. i love it. I can see someone doing that is super high housing areas like Paris! Repurpose, reuse and renew!

I cant even figure out what all of those hanging and odd shaped things are or what purpose they serve.

Its ultra modern which is not my style at all.  With those decor pieces hanging from the ceiling that would drive my cats crazy! Cat LOL  But what's neat is they managed to turn the garage into a home....

Everything is too disconnected. I don’t see one unifying element. I wouldn’t like living there.

It’s pretty confusing but there are a couple of rooms I do like.

@lolakimono, it is just too much for me!

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Truly a waste of a good garage.

Re: Garage Turned into Paris Home

Well, I really agree with @blueroses47!

Its very artsy but not homey or warm and looks very uncomfortable. And maybe interesting peieces individually for an art gallery but altogether it looks so cluttered.

And I've looked at a lot of magazines with interior decorating lately too and find I don't like or agree with so many. I guess I don't like cold and modern and uncomfortable with chrome and plastic etc. It just never looks like a warm and inviting home you'd want to live in or even stay in for a little while.
