WHAT is the deal with Gabrielle Kerr's grammar? Between her less than stellar grammar and non-stop, irritating giggle, she drove me crazy. If I watch her, it's even worse. Her television presence seems always to be struggling to be comfortable. She seems to struggle to come up with good dialogue on-air. I would think that QVC This Morning has fairly high viewer numbers. It's surprising that QVC puts a host in that time slot that isn't a seasoned, polished sales pro.
Excellent communication skills should be first on the requirements list for anyone hoping to join the ranks of "exceptional" QVC hosts. In all my years of listening to the first-tier QVC hosts, I've rarely heard a grammatical slip from them.
When Gabrielle says something like "Pat, she has added a belt to the outfit" rather than "Pat has added a belt to the outfit" OVER and OVER and OVER in such a short time span, it's like someone dragging their nails across the chalkboard.
Gabrielle has improved since she started at QVC. But she needs more training and on-air experience. I won't be watching QVC This Morning if she's going to be Pat & Dan's co-host.
