Here in florida most homes are ranch homes but the newer built ones seldom have the front door facing the street. Usually the garage faces the street and is one of the short sides of the house so you have to walk half way down the side of the house to get to the front door. Generally, everyone comes in and out thru the garage - even company - so last summer we purchased a wireless doorbell for the door between the garage and the house. Some of our neighbors have also bought these and installed them this week. The problem is they are all set on the same frequency - if you ring one they all go off. There are 4 homes - the 2 in our house and the 2 next door all on the same frequency. It made us all a bit crazy yesterday as the bell would ring and noone was there - til the guys figured it out. Now the DHs are in conference trying to get them all reset on various frequencies, and for the most part us wives are just smiling and shaking our heads. Aren't guys cute when they are befuddled?
