It's a very easy design to make from some pine 1x2s and a few pieces of pine board. 

 

It's airy looking,  nice in a more rustic setting, also it's a bit different than just another picture on the wall.

To me, that is art vs a utilitarian shelf. I like the look. I think I will try to come up with something similar for a winter project.

It looks alright. Inexpensive for sure and just for a pretty small space.

 

I would like it better if the shelves were sitting at the bottom of the frame 

instead of a few inches above.

I like the shelves and the arrangement but I don't like what is on them.
