It would be nice to know if bulbs are replaceable if one breaks.  They're LED so I suppose they'll work forever.

In the original old- time ones like I have, the colored bulbs were just hollow plastic and the light source was from a light  bulb in the base. The top and the base were 2 separate pieces, Don't know how these are made because I wasn't interested in them.

I think you're right, country gal.  Makes sense to have one light inside the tree and different-colored clear bulbs on the outside.
