Eclectic for sure.  DH just puts up stuff where I ask him to.  He really is "whatever you want honey"

Kitchen is hickory cabinets. I'd like new counter tops.

Solid red oak floors, kitchen living room and hall. 

(both bathrooms need to be redone IMHO)

Master bedroom and bath are my favorite colors, purple & lavendar.

Office is bright yellow. Spare bedroom is seaglass green.

Dining room is glass and metal on Italian tile floor. Couples in the artwork, on motorcycle, at restaurant, at Eifel Tower, dancing etc.

Decor is a lot of lights on timers. Candles and such.  I'm not one for lamps even though all rooms have them.

Metal and frameless canvas art on walls. 

I like the words/sayings items : You Had Me at Merlot, Home Sweet Home, Blessings, It's A Wonderful Life, etc......

I know a lot of people don't like them, but I do & it's my house! LOL

Our home is Early American, inside and out.  A blend of formal and informal, our FR more country.  We have some antique pieces we have collected over the years.  We have a good amount of accessories.  It’s a warm and comfortable family home, located in a CT town that is well over 300 years old.  So I guess you could say it fits in well.

Yes, it's your house.  I feel the same way if someone doesn't care for my style.  

I have hickory kitchen cabinets as well.  A "compromise" when we remodeled in 2004.  My wish was for white cabinets, however, the realization is my DH is on the sloppy side (although he's usually a good cook) & I could visualize how the cabinets would look .. if you get my msg.  

Also, there've been a few comments about my somewhat coastal decor when we don't live at the coast.  I could care less.  I want what pleases us - not everyone else.  Of course, if someone else compliments it, well, I certainly welcome that.   LOL

Fun thread @ScenicMaine  I'd have to think about how best to respond. I like so many different looks and styles of homes, both inside and out. I'm probably better at listing what things I'm not much a fan of than listing the many things I find appealing.

I am an earth tone person. Leather, Browns, beiges and burnt oranges. My walls are sparse just a few things hanging. Family pics around the house. Less is best for dusting. I recently downsized and purged so much. I love when someone posts a room or home and reading all the different opinions and views. I learn so much with those posts. Thank you to all who do that.

I guess my look is Warm Traditional! We use a lot of Earthy tones, browns, creams, beige, greens, and warm reds in our decor! We have a traditional 2 story so it fits.... I love very warm and inviting rooms, but I also love the Farmhouse look and the Beachy look, if you have that type of house.....Most of my decor to give you an idea comes from either Pottery Barn or Pier One..
