I put my L.L.Bean flannel sheets on the bed yesterday. I love flannel sheets in fall and winter.

Re: Flannel sheets

[ Edited ]

The temperatures are finally dropping from the 90s to the 70s this week in my area, so I eagerly made the bed with flannel sheets over the weekend. I just bought a new Pointehaven set from Amazon, and they are the most comfortable, non-hot flannel sheets I've experienced. I loved my Pinzon flannel sheets for seven years, but even though they're still in okay condition, the flat sheet has shrunk so much that it barely covers the bed anymore. Smiley Wink

We love our flannel sheets, but it is just way too early this year, to use them. It's going to be 15 degrees above normal and humid for the next two weeks yet here, the weather man said today.

I'm glad. I can wait for the cold weather. And the flannel sheets!

@Mominohio, this weather is something isn't it?  I was watching Fox 8 Cleveland 2 weeks ago and the forecasters were all saying the first 2 weeks of October were trending colder than average, blah, blah, blah.

All of a sudden over the weekend they said the first 2 weeks of October are going to be warmer than usual and humid.  They said this is the warmest start to an October we've had in decades.

My air went back on late Sunday afternoon.  I won't leave windows open when we aren't home and it's just too hot to have the house totally closed up.  And it got humid again yesterday.

Wish we didn't have 90+ degree heat index temps and upper 80s with 80%+ humidity. I'm not even in Florida but south Georgia. I would love to put my flannel and fleece sheets on with my heavy quilts. I'm envious of you all!
