My indoor plants love this stuff! They are thriving beautifully. BUT, it leaves such a strong, off-putting odor.

When you sit near one of them, it's quite offensive. I live alone and even I couldn't stand it for long so I moved to the recliner.

This Saturday I'm seeing my guy and coming back to my place. Other than burning candles before he gets here, what can I do to keep us from walking in to the fishy smell?

The formula calls for fertilizing every 3 weeks. Since it's been raining so much I waited for them to fully dry before watering. Good that this will be an occasional problem. Never having used it before, I didn't know not to fertilize until after this weekend.

Windows are open - nice cool breeze. It's when I close the place before going to bed that the smell takes over.

Ideas?

Re: Fish Emulsion/Fertilizer

I've been using Super Thrive for many years and find it does a great job and no smell... It says you can use it in addition to plant food but I don't find I need to use anything else, though I do feed my orchids every once in a while.
