Re: Firepit Patio- Hot or Not?

Living in a beach area that exact style doesn't exactly work for me but I love it. We have a very similar set up at waters edge with Trex Adirondacks and a stone fire pit. We use it as often as we can.

I think it's a fad that's fading.

It isn't something that would interest me. . .

Re: Firepit Patio- Hot or Not?

No one wants a firepit?? Oh that was BIG for us when designing our landscaping 2 years ago. We have a huge firepit built in the ground with rock and slate. We have lovely lakeside sunset campfires just about every night during the Summer. Its a must for us! Woman Happy

Re: Firepit Patio- Hot or Not?

I'd love to have those black chairs!  😍

We have a fire pit area in our back yard that I enjoy.  Our WiFi reaches throughout the back yard, and there are lots of times I sit back there in the evenings and weekends with my iPad.  It's like having another room.

Around here the trend is an outdoor fireplace.  I'd like to upgrade to one of those, but DH isn't interested.

Re: Firepit Patio- Hot or Not?

I'm not interested in a fire pit at all. To be honest, I'm really not an "outdoorsey" kind of girl. I'd rather spend the fire pit money on a new purse or a piece of furniture for inside the house.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Firepit Patio- Hot or Not?

We've camped for 40 years and still love it.  DH always built a fire and we all enjoyed it however when I mentioned having a pit on our patio, he's just not interested....  However our oldest son made a stone fire pit in his backyard and he and his friends love it....  popular or not, everyone's different....

This one Ms Lola @lolakimono  is stunning I think.  I wouldn't mind having (I think) the rest of the place to go with!  I'd have to see it first.

Anyway, yeah when they were 'hot' I too just had to have one.  And yeah we have a nice sized portable on our (paver) patio.  It s good size and it is great to sit around.  Problem is, it's only hot when we use it which is rare.  DH prunes and collects branches etc for it in fact but we seem to rarely use it which is really too bad.

I don't think they seem to be quite as popular though.

Re: Firepit Patio- Hot or Not?

One of our neighbors must have a fire pit, on warm nights the smoke smell blows in our windows forcing us to close them.  They shouldn't be allowed in neighborhoods where the houses are close together!
