Re: Finished decorating for Spring...PICS!

I just got the blue bubble candle from VPH. I wanted to use it in my spring decorating but wasn't sure because it has the white stuff (snow?) over the top. It looks good in your pic so I think I'll call the white stuff something other than snow and incorporate it into my year-round decor.

Hi Nana5,

Believe it or not, my MIL has her blue glitter candle out all year long! She adores it that much. I also have at least one glitter candle out all year long (I have 2 of each color). However, I like to change which color/s I use each season.

I know the top is supposed to probably represent snow, but honestly, I don't "see it" when I look at the candle. I focus either on the flame (flicker bulb) or the pretty colored area with glitter. I'm sure the same goes for most folks too. As many visitors as we have had here at the house, none have mentioned to me about questioning about the "snow" on top...just how pretty the candle is and they want one!

I have tried to imagine the candle without the coating on top...and you know...to me, it wouldn't look as nice. The coating/snow helps to define the flicker flame on top and separates it nicely from the moving glitter.

The "gold" glitter candle (which is actually orange-y) I LOVE to use it in Fall decor-Thanksgiving-time. The "snow/coating" has a dull-ish gold coating...and that certainly doesn't look like snow...LOL

During the Spring/Summer, I will use the clear and/or blue candle...the gold for Fall, and red, green, and clear for the holiday season.

Enjoy your candle and I'm sure it will look great wherever you put it! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Re: Finished decorating for Spring...PICS!

SL, your beautiful pics could right into a home decor magazine, it is so well done! I haven't taken the sphere plunge yet but since I saw your pics, I just now ordered the blue. Mind if I send you the bill?!?! LOL! I only decorate for Halloween ( I have an extensive JS Witch collection), Christmas and summer with my beach/coastal decor. Those blue spheres will be beautiful with my theme. Enjoy the trip to Kearney. My sister lives in Lexington & she with DH also go to watch. If you see her, give her a shout-out for me!

Hello Susan Louise...

Thank you for sharing all your lovely pictures....you did such a wonderful job on your spring / easter decorating. And since Easter comes so late this year , you will have many months to enjoy it all. Thanks again for sharing.

Hi Bobby K,

Thanks! I will be keeping all of the decor I have up now (except the pair of bunnies...which I will take down the day after Easter...and just the Forsythia twigs about a month later) until I start decorating for Fall in mid August. I don't decorate for Valentine's Day or St Patty's Day, That's another reason why I used the decor pieces I did...they can be enjoyed from early Spring through the Summer too. I will, however, bring out a few accents pieces for 4th of July for our coffee table, but that's it Smile

Hi Susan Louise: Love to see what you've done. Looks amazing. I have to know about those bunnies....are they ceramic?? and where did you get them?? I am expanding my Easter decorations which already consist of many Jim Shore pieces, but I also like to branch out and get some other items for Easter. I love those bunnies!!

Susan Louise~ can you please tell me how you uploaded your photos here, without having to link them to a photo bucket link? I would like to start another thread entitled, "How do you decorate with your VPH spheres? Photos will be strongly recommended. I think there would be a lot of interest her in how everyone uses them -there are so many talented people here.

As stated above in another post- your spring decor is very pretty!
