I have a collection of old sterling silver forks and spoons that I picked up many years ago on vacations. I keep them in a small heavy vase on the counter and we eat with them.  They are beautiful and a t-shirt would be long gone if I'd bought that instead.

Another thing is they were made differently and often bigger than modern cutlery.  We have gumbo spoons with wide deep bowls that are perfect for so many things, and soup spoons that are a little bigger and better shaped to eat with too.

They were just mismatched things found inexpensively at the time that I treasure now.

The table in the middle photo is pretty with the swirling variety of colors on white background combined with the shiny silver candlesticks and glassware and anchored by all the greens.  Also like the Hanukkah table.

Love the blue and rich red!  I saw those branch candles on a site for around $30.00.  That was an eyebrow lift for sure!
