Fabric softener?

So this will teach me to go shopping without my reading glasses. I bought a big bottle of liquid fabric softener instead of laundry soap. I have lots of fabric softener in stock and I very seldom use it. Anyone have any cool uses for liquid fabric softener? I've read threads where people shampoo their hair with conditioner(I've tried it and it does work) so that was my thinking this morning when I did my laundry with fabric softener since that's all I have till I get to the store. Will that work or should I do them over once I get soap?
