Why do fabulously wealthy celebrities feel the need to have a "line" or "brand" of anything? If they aren't donating the proceeds to charity, it just seems like greed to me. Virtually none of them are actually designers or have any training or experience in design. It's just a "grab all you can get while you can" mentality. Frankly, it turns me off completely.

It's easier for a brand to market a product with a big name attached to it. Here is a link to some of the charities she works with:

She seems give plenty of time and money to charities.

Just saw the sign LOVE at Michaels. Same thing. 24.95 . Also a coupon. Her things are not her things. She just puts her name on them. Very cheap quality.

Love Ellen but the line is nothing exceptional....I was disappointed. I don't think there would be any conflict with her programming as she has tons of lawyers negotiating her contracts and enterprises and they specialize in many facets of the law. She is probably just too over-extended to come to PA

I like Ellen a lot, but I think she should have been at the Q to at least premiere her merchandise.

Didn't Ellen try her dog food at QVC and I also thought she had products at Christmas. I remember thinking they were too much $$$ for what they were. Some celebs just can't have enough money. They have to sell something/anything

I really like Ellen, but her items not so much. I bought her 4 set of candles at Christmas time and they had hardly any scent, I even gave one as a gift. Most of the things she has for sale one can find similar at B&M stores, and perhaps even nicer and way less pricey.

To RedHeaded - umm - after reading 28 replies to this posting - didn't you get (at least) a clue what Q shoppers are thinking?

Start with 101 in Marketing Class = boring products - probably available at Walmart at reduced prices. (please read all 28 replies)
