EVINE - Christmas in Ireland

So disappointed. They have 5 pieces that will be TSVs for the next few days. They are all made in Slovenia.

They do have some "House of Waterford" pieces, but not many.

The Irish did not invent cut crystal, the Eastern European's did, so I don't mind that it's made in Slovenia. They probably have some Polish guy they brought over to Ireland to make their so called House of Waterford crystal. LOL

I have always figured, at the prices for which it's sold, Evine's Waterford must be very low-end. Sort of like glassware from Target.

@blackhole99 - My point is that they are billing the programming as Christmas in Ireland....not Christmas in Slovenia. I really don't care WHO invented cut lead crystal.

@Kachina624 - A lot of what they sell isn't crystal, it's crystalline. That's their low end items. Next step up are the lines made in Slovenia. House of Waterford is made in Ireland and carries big price tags even on Evine.

There are three grades of Waterford sold at Evine

Marquis by Waterford

Waterford

House of Waterford

Waterford is crystal and the prices are great. I've bought a few pieces.

House of Waterford is the creme de la creme and I have a few of these pieces too.

@MyGirlsMom - Not all the Marquis pieces are crystal, and while they usually say crystalline in the product name, they don't always. You have to pay attention.

@goldensrbest - Nah, they've always sold the Waterford and Waterford has been manufacturing quite a bit of their product line in Slovenia for a long time now.
