I have several Duraflame heaters. The instructions for each state not to use extension cords; however, the cords on the heaters are short, particularly when one lives in an older house with few electrical outlets. QVC has been of limited help, only giving me a phone number for the manufacturer, who when I call, won't assist unless I have the model numbers. Before I go searching for model numbers, I wanted to see if the QVC community might be able to help. Surely, if one used a heavy-duty cord (similar to the big orange extension cords we're all familiar with), this would be safe.
Suggestions??
