My only complaint is it seems like 99% of their clients want homes decorated in contemporary and I do NOT like that style at all. So I am getting a little bored with the shows. I don't like "barn doors" either. But I do like the brothers!!
Right, what is with the barn doors.
Also, practically everyone wants the "open" style, where all rooms are open to each other. I don't think I have ever been in that type of home, and would nt want to live in one.

I've often thought it's a toss-up between the Property Brothers and Fixer Upper for 'who is going to redo my home' daydreaming. While I like both shows (and yes, Jonathan is a bit cuter than Drew), I'd have to go with Joanna outfitting my home. Her things are a bit more classic, not as trendy as what the Brothers choose.
But I will be watching (or rather DVR-ing) so I can FF thru anything that's boring!

Two of my favorite shows too! ![]()
I actually like both of their styles.....Joanna has more of a rustic eclectic touch, while Jonathan is more traditional and classic look. I love his "pops" of color.
I am looking forward to this show.....I hope their stuff is better than Ellen's....I'm a little disappointed in her line. I'm actually surprised that the Q is bringing in another design team so soon after introducing Ellen's line.

Chip and Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper have a website where you can buy some of the things they use to stage houses. http://shop.magnoliahomes.net/Yes, the Property Brothers are actors. They are both Realtors and Jonathan has a construction background, but he does little of the actual renovation on the show. The work is actually done with a local construction firm and Jonathan comes in to film his parts. The homeowner owns the house BEFORE they start looking at "possible" houses. It's fake reality, people!
Who cares?
It's a fun and entertaining show with a lot of great design and decorating ideas!

Well, in fairness, I guess 'fun', 'entertaining' and 'great design' are all relative and somewhat individual...

Wonderful! I love those guys and wish them the best of luck.

I like them, don't need any of what they're selling, but I'd watch. Looked it up 10:00 eastern time, called "Scott Living Outdoor Style with the Scott Brothers." I'll DVR it.

Minority or not, I'm with you. I don't find them at all appealing on a physical level... The guy who does Income Property, yes, the guy who used to do the Curb Appeal show, yes, but these two, no way.
MarthaStewardess and stevieb, I agree with you both. And I really liked the guys that did Income Property and Curb Appeal, too! They are both really nice looking men.
