Show hosts make money in endorsements and merchandising. They have Bob Villa to thank for that. He took the big one for the team back in the day. Now it's part of the deal when you have a show.

I miss the Gardener Guy. I cannot remember his name. He was informative and funny. Actually, I feel HGTV is missing a lot of "G".

Yeah, I stopped watching that channel when they dropped all of their gardening shows. They should change the name to HTV as the G is gone.......

You say that like Lowes is a bad place!

I checked Lowes, and they have a set of 2 chairs very similar to the set on Scott Living. The Lowes set is $530, and that's just the chairs. The Scott Living set included a nice size glass top conversation group size table and was $389 with s&h included. Looked like a nice set.

I found the show to be enjoyable, the guys to be quite personable and Carolyn was the perfect host to work with them. I've only caught their program on HGTV once, so perhaps I'm not burnt out on them? Don't know, just like what they showed, enjoyed their descriptions of why they opted for the design and style and found their products appeared to be a cut above most of what I've seen shown here on the Q.

If a program on HGTV shows signs of being popular, they inundate the audience with episodes until everyone is sick of it. Look what they've done with House Hunters; I think it must be on every day. Love It or List It...everyone is sick of the same predictable format, and now The Property Brothers also with the same format and interior design. HGTV has been for some time just a real estate show. I miss the old programming and rarely watch it these days.

Some new and more interesting shows would sure be nice. Now they are on Q too! Them and the boring people from America's Test Kitchen, or "NEW THIS WEEK! HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE DISH WITH 47 STEPS, BRINEING, AND USING HALF THE POTS, PANS, SKILLETS and BOWLS IN YOUR HOUSE!"

I agree, although I wish more of the houses 'done' by HGTV 'stars' looked as good as Pottery Barn!

I couldn't be less interested in these brothers... On QVC or on HGTV...

LOL!! I agree--not interested. And yes, to me it looks like anything you can get at most of the local stores, and SEE and FEEL what you are getting. I really don't see the point in this product line if that is a sample of what's coming.
